We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Football Coach to lead this initiative. This role is integral to discovering, mentoring, and fostering football talent across Nigeria, aligning with our goal of community engagement and youth empowerment.

Role Overview

The Football Coach will play a key role in planning and executing the talent-hunting expedition. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in football coaching and scouting, combined with the ability to inspire and motivate young athletes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Talent Scouting and Assessment:

    • Lead football try-outs and training sessions across various regions in Nigeria.
    • Evaluate and identify high-potential players with technical, tactical, and physical capabilities.

  2. Program Development:

    • Design and implement structured training programs to develop players’ skills.
    • Collaborate with LJE Nigeria to align football activities with the organization’s broader goals.

  3. Mentorship and Development:

    • Serve as a mentor to young players, instilling discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
    • Provide feedback and individualized growth plans for identified talents.

  4. Administrative Duties:

    • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, events, and scouting activities.
    • Maintain records of player evaluations and progress reports.

  5. Community Engagement:

    • Partner with local football associations, schools, and community groups to broaden the talent pool.
    • Represent LJE Nigeria as a positive role model and advocate for youth empowerment through sports.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a football coach or talent scout at professional or semi-professional levels.
  • Strong understanding of modern football techniques, tactics, and player development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire young players.
  • Certification in coaching (CAF, UEFA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Passion for youth development and community engagement.
  • Ability to travel nationwide for scouting and events.
